BobbiLyn: Ps 69:1 ¶ To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, A Psalm of David. Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.
Ps 69:2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
BobbiLyn: Ps 69:3 I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.
BobbiLyn: Ps 69:4 They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.
BobbiLyn: Ps 69:5 O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.
BobbiLyn: Ps 69:6 Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.
Ps 69:7 Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.
BobbiLyn: Ps 69:8 I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.
Ps 69:9 For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
BobbiLyn: Ps 69:10 When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.
Ps 69:11 I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them.
BobbiLyn: Ps 69:12 They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.
BobbiLyn: Ps 69:13 ¶ But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.
BobbiLyn: Ps 69:14 Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.
Ps 69:15 Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.
BobbiLyn: Ps 69:16 Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.
Ps 69:17 And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.
BobbiLyn: Ps 69:18 Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.
Ps 69:19 Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.
BobbiLyn: Jg 21:25 In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
BobbiLyn: 1Sa 8:1 ¶ And it came to pass, when Samuel was old, that he made his sons judges over Israel.
1Sa 8:2 Now the name of his firstborn was Joel; and the name of his second, Abiah: they were judges in Beersheba.
BobbiLyn: 1Sa 8:3 And his sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after lucre, and took bribes, and perverted judgment.
1Sa 8:4 ¶ Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah,
BobbiLyn: 1Sa 8:5 And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.
1Sa 8:6 But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD.
BobbiLyn: 1Sa 8:7 And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.
BobbiLyn: 1Sa 8:8 According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.
BobbiLyn: 1Sa 8:9 Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them.
1Sa 8:10 And Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the people that asked of him a king.
BobbiLyn: 1Sa 8:11 And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots.
BobbiLyn: 1Sa 8:12 And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots.
BobbiLyn: 1Sa 8:13 And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers
BobbiLyn: 1Sa 8:14 And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants.
1Sa 8:15 And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants.
BobbiLyn: 1Sa 8:16 And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work.
1Sa 8:17 He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants.
BobbiLyn: 1Sa 8:18 And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day.
1Sa 8:19 Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us;
