I would sometimes hear this verse of Scripture quoted at funerals. I thought it meant that when you die physically, your body would go into the ground and your sprit would go to be with God.
Oh, how wrong I was! Praise God, He has revealed to me what it really means.
He is talking about "death" to self. Death to self-will. Only when I (my will) dies can I be of any use to God. The fruit is my character. By dying daily, I am being transformed into the image of His Son.
What an eye-opener that was. Thank you, Jesus!
Amen sister, Praise God the Holy Sprit is showing me this we must die to self. Giving God all the Glory. Amen and Amen
