Sissy's Mom Scheduled for Surgery on Feb. 6

Please remember to keep Sissy's mom in your prayers. Her surgery is scheduled for Feb. 6. Will you agree with me in prayer that those kidney stones would disappear and that she will not need the surgery. She is at risk because of her age. She is 86. Also Sissy needs prayer for herself. Please agree with me in prayer that her blood pressure will return to normal. Also for direction from the Lord about making the trip to be with her mother during this trial. If it is not meant for her to go and be with her mom, pray that the Lord would give her peace about it.

actioncross: Eze 38:5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
actioncross: Eze 38:6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: [and] many people with thee.
actioncross: Eze 38:7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
actioncross: Eze 38:8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land [that is] brought back from the sword, [and is] gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
actioncross: Eze 38:9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.
actioncross: Eze 38:10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, [that] at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
actioncross: Eze 38:11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
actioncross: Eze 38:12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places [that are now] inhabited, and upon the people [that are] gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
actioncross: Jos 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
actioncross: Jos 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God [is] with thee whithersoever thou goest.
actioncross: Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.
actioncross: Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
actioncross: Psa 1:1 Blessed [is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
actioncross: Psa 1:2 But his delight [is] in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
actioncross: Psa 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
actioncross: Eph 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
actioncross: Eph 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
actioncross: Eph 4:19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
actioncross: Eph 4:20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
actioncross: Eph 4:21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
actioncross: Eph 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
actioncross: Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
actioncross: Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
actioncross: Mat 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
actioncross: Mat 12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
actioncross: Mat 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
actioncross: Mat 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
actioncross: Num 13:27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this [is] the fruit of it.
actioncross: Num 13:28 Nevertheless the people [be] strong that dwell in the land, and the cities [are] walled, [and] very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
actioncross: Num 13:29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
actioncross: Num 13:30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
actioncross: Num 13:31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they [are] stronger than we.
actioncross: Num 13:32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, [is] a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it [are] men of a great stature.
actioncross: Num 13:33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, [which come] of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
actioncross: Rom 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, [even] God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
actioncross: Rom 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
actioncross: Rom 4:18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
actioncross: Rom 4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:
actioncross: Rom 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
actioncross: Rom 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
actioncross: Rom 4:22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
actioncross: Rom 4:23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
actioncross: Rom 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
actioncross: 1Co 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
actioncross: 1Co 11:27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink [this] cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
actioncross: 1Co 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of [that] bread, and drink of [that] cup.
actioncross: 1Co 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
actioncross: 1Co 11:30 For this cause many [are] weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
actioncross: 1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
actioncross: 1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
actioncross: 1Co 11:23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the [same] night in which he was betrayed took bread:
actioncross: 1Co 11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake [it], and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
actioncross: 1Co 11:25 After the same manner also [he took] the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink [it], in remembrance of me.

Lumster: Worship the Lord with us tonight!
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:1 A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy na
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:6 The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:9 He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger forever.
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:17 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:19 The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
dan_o_mace: Psa 103:21 Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
dan_o_mace: sa 103:22 Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.
dan_o_mace: Mar 11:20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
dan_o_mace: Mar 11:21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
dan_o_mace: Mar 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
dan_o_mace: Mar 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
dan_o_mace: Joh 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
dan_o_mace: Joh 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
dan_o_mace: Joh 12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
dan_o_mace: Joh 12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
dan_o_mace: Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
dan_o_mace: Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
dan_o_mace: Heb 11:2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
dan_o_mace: Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
dan_o_mace: Heb 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
dan_o_mace: Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
dan_o_mace: Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
dan_o_mace: Heb 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
dan_o_mace: Heb 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
dan_o_mace: Heb 11:9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
dan_o_mace: Heb 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Lumster: Rom 10:17
Faith comes by hearing and hearing (the ability to hear and discern) comes from the Rhema (that which is or has been uttered by the living voice) of God
dan_o_mace: Mar 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
dan_o_mace: Mar 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
dan_o_mace: Mar 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Book on the Emerging Church Issues Warning Around the World

After just five months since its release date, Faith Undone has traveled around the world and now has 20,000 copies in print, with nearly 16,000 either sold or given away. The book makes a well-documented and serious case against the emerging church movement, showing that it is far more than the discontent grumblings of young people looking for answers but is in fact a calculated device by the devil to undermine the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Grounded in a centuries old mystical approach, this movement is powerful yet highly deceptive. The path that the emerging church is taking is leading right into the arms of an interfaith perspective that has prophetically profound ramifications. Behind this new kind of church is a well-designed strategy and maneuver by the prince of this world to literally take apart the faith of millions. YWAM Teams With IHOP in India

Youth with a Mission (YWAM) teams up with the International House of Prayer (IHOP) in New Dehli, India, according to the YWAM website and the YWAM Extreme store. A statement reads: "On Thursday September 25, 2008, the School of Intercessory Prayer (SOIP) will begin in New Delhi ... YWAM IHOP in New Delhi, India: The SOIP will take place at YWAM Delhi's International House of Prayer (IHOP), which was established in 2001." Loren Cunningham, founder of YWAM, gives the following endorsement of IHOP: "The Great Harvest needs to be supplied by continual prayer and fasting. Intercessory ministries like Mike Bickle's in Kansas City are vital for the fulfillment of the Great Commission." Loren Cunningham - Youth With A Mission (YWAM)

We recommend those wanting to know about ministries that are rooted in the River movement (Word/Faith, ect.), to read The Other Side of the River by Kevin Reeves. This important biography covers the twelve years Reeves was part of a River church. His story exposes many of the false, and sometimes mystical, practices and doctrines that Mike Bickle (IHOP), Rick Joyner, Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, John Wimber, and many others have taught to countless Christians. Also for documentation on YWAM's move toward the new missiology, read Mike Oppenheimer and Sandy Simpson's book, Idolatry in Their Hearts.

It is our prayer and hope that YWAM will not continue going in the direction of a new missiology that ultimately rejects the foundations of biblical truth (see Oakland article above).

Apostasy Watch Bible Study Sunday 12/30/07

Lumster: This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
Lumster: Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain:
Lumster: The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.
Lumster: Isaiah 32
actioncross: Isa 32:9 Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.
actioncross: Isa 32:10 Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.
actioncross: Isa 32:11 Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird [sackcloth] upon [your] loins.
actioncross: Isa 32:15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
actioncross: Isa 32:16 Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.
actioncross: Isa 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
actioncross: Isa 32:18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;
actioncross: Isa 32:19 When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.
actioncross: Isa 32:20 Blessed [are] ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth [thither] the feet of the ox and the ass.
actioncross: Ezr 4:23 Now when the copy of king Artaxerxes' letter [was] read before Rehum, and Shimshai the scribe, and their companions, they went up in haste to Jerusalem unto the Jews, and made them to cease by force and power.
actioncross: Ezr 4:24 Then ceased the work of the house of God which [is] at Jerusalem. So it ceased unto the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.
actioncross: Ezr 5:1 Then the prophets, Haggai the prophet, and Zechariah the son of Iddo, prophesied unto the Jews that [were] in Judah and Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel, [even] unto them.
actioncross: Ezr 5:2 Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which [is] at Jerusalem: and with them [were] the prophets of God helping them.
actioncross: Hag 1:1 In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,
actioncross: Hag 1:2 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD'S house should be built.
actioncross: Hag 1:3 Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
actioncross: Hag 1:4 [Is it] time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house [lie] waste?
actioncross: Hag 1:5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
actioncross: Hag 1:6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages [to put it] into a bag with holes.
actioncross: Hag 1:7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
actioncross: Hag 1:8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.
actioncross: Hag 1:9 Ye looked for much, and, lo, [it came] to little; and when ye brought [it] home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that [is] waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.
actioncross: Hag 1:10 Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed [from] her fruit.
actioncross: Hag 1:11 And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon [that] which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.
SeattlePaulK777: amen
actioncross: Hag 1:12 Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.
actioncross: Hag 1:13 Then spake Haggai the LORD'S messenger in the LORD'S message unto the people, saying, I [am] with you, saith the LORD.
actioncross: Hag 1:14 And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,
actioncross: Ezr 5:2 Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which [is] at Jerusalem: and with them [were] the prophets of God helping them.
actioncross: Ezr 5:3 At the same time came to them Tatnai, governor on this side the river, and Shetharboznai, and their companions, and said thus unto them, Who hath commanded you to build this house, and to make up this wall?
actioncross: Ezr 5:4 Then said we unto them after this manner, What are the names of the men that make this building?
actioncross: Ezr 5:5 But the eye of their God was upon the elders of the Jews, that they could not cause them to cease, till the matter came to Darius: and then they returned answer by letter concerning this [matter].
actioncross: Ezr 5:6 The copy of the letter that Tatnai, governor on this side the river, and Shetharboznai, and his companions the Apharsachites, which [were] on this side the river, sent unto Darius the king:
actioncross: Ezr 5:7 They sent a letter unto him, wherein was written thus; Unto Darius the king, all peace.
actioncross: Ezr 6:6 Now [therefore], Tatnai, governor beyond the river, Shetharboznai, and your companions the Apharsachites, which [are] beyond the river, be ye far from thence:
actioncross: Ezr 6:7 Let the work of this house of God alone; let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews build this house of God in his place.
actioncross: Ezr 6:8 Moreover I make a decree what ye shall do to the elders of these Jews for the building of this house of God: that of the king's goods, [even] of the tribute beyond the river, forthwith expenses be given unto these men, that they be not hindered.
actioncross: Ezr 6:9 And that which they have need of, both young bullocks, and rams, and lambs, for the burnt offerings of the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the appointment of the priests which [are] at Jerusalem, let it be given them day by day without fail:
actioncross: Ezr 6:10 That they may offer sacrifices of sweet savours unto the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king, and of his sons.
actioncross: Ezr 6:11 Also I have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter this word, let timber be pulled down from his house, and being set up, let him be hanged thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this.
actioncross: Ezr 6:12 And the God that hath caused his name to dwell there destroy all kings and people, that shall put to their hand to alter [and] to destroy this house of God which [is] at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with speed.
actioncross: Ezr 6:14 And the elders of the Jews builded, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they builded, and finished [it], according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.
actioncross: Hag 2:1 In the seventh [month], in the one and twentieth [day] of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying,
actioncross: Hag 2:2 Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,
actioncross: Hag 2:3 Who [is] left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? [is it] not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?
actioncross: Hag 2:4 Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I [am] with you, saith the LORD of hosts:
actioncross: Hag 2:5 [According to] the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.
actioncross: Hag 2:6 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it [is] a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry [land];
actioncross: Hag 2:7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
actioncross: Hag 2:8 The silver [is] mine, and the gold [is] mine, saith the LORD of hosts.
actioncross: Hag 2:9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.
actioncross: Zec 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This [is] the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
actioncross: Zec 4:7 Who [art] thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel [thou shalt become] a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone [thereof with] shoutings, [crying], Grace, grace unto it.
actioncross: Zec 4:8 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
actioncross: Zec 4:9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.
actioncross: Zec 4:10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel [with] those seven; they [are] the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
actioncross: Hag 2:10 In the four and twentieth [day] of the ninth [month], in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
actioncross: Hag 2:11 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests [concerning] the law, saying,
actioncross: Hag 2:12 If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.
actioncross: Hag 2:13 Then said Haggai, If [one that is] unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean.
actioncross: Hag 2:14 Then answered Haggai, and said, So [is] this people, and so [is] this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so [is] every work of their hands; and that which they offer there [is] unclean.

Evangelical Christians Combine Mysticism With Catholic Eucharist

Source: Lighthouse Trails

Many Christians believe that the Christian tradition of communion is the same as the Catholic tradition of the Eucharist. But this is not so. The Eucharist (i.e., Transubstantiation ) is a Catholic term for communion when the bread and the wine supposedly become the very body and blood of Jesus Christ; thus when taken the partaker is said to experience the presence of Jesus. These transformed elements are placed in what is called a monstrance and can then be worshipped as if worshipping Jesus Himself. The implications are tied in with salvation. With the Eucharist, salvation becomes sacramental (participation in a ritual) as opposed to justification by faith in Christ alone. While this mystical experience called the Eucharist is a form of idolatry (as well as the very heart of Catholicism), there appears to be an increase of interest by evangelical Christians towards this practice.

In Roger Oakland's vital book, Another Jesus?: The Eucharistic Christ and the New Evangelization, he explains that the Catholic church leadership, concerned because of apathy for the Eucharist within the Catholic ranks, is hoping to "rekindle the amazement" of the Eucharist through what is called their "new evangelization program." With a two-fold purpose - to keep present Catholics and to bring evangelicals into the Catholic church - church leadership hopes to enliven the Eucharist. By saying "rekindle the amazement," they mean bring out the mystical, supernatural element of the Eucharist.

Acceptance of the Eucharist by evangelical Christians has been simmering in the background for some time. Chuck Colson's Evangelicals and Catholics Together document played a significant role with desensitizing believers into finding common ground with Catholicism. Rick Warren has openly shown, time and again, his affinity to joining Catholicism and evangelicalism together. But as we have succinctly pointed out in our other works, it is mysticism that unites all the world's religious traditions. In that mystical realm that is achieved through contemplative prayer, it is taught that God is in all things, and God is all things. To those who traditionally haven't had much ritual in their lives (i.e., Protestants) the ambiance of the Mass would have great appeal because of it's religious novelty - thus the interest in the Eucharist by those evangelicals who promote contemplative. And for most Catholics, the Mass (where the Eucharist is presented), in and of itself, is not a mystical experience, but if you add the contemplative as a draw, one actually does enter the mystical realm. On the surface this phenomenon seems complex, but when you look underneath it makes perfect sense. Within the contemplative prayer realm you actually are getting in touch with a spiritual power or force. Combining the tradition of the Eucharist, which appeals to many raised in the Catholic church, with the relatively recent explosion of contemplative practice, the Catholic church sees this as a way to recover its robust state it had in previous decades.

The Eucharistic Adoration (worshipping the sacraments) is expected of all Catholics, and church leadership says it is "anathema" not to believe the elements are actually transformed into the body and blood of Christ. While such a belief contradicts biblical Christianity, a growing number of popular evangelicals (especially those who promote contemplative) seem to find no offense in such a doctrine. With the increased acceptance of mysticism within evangelical circles, it only makes sense that many evangelical Christians find nothing wrong with the Eucharist. Such acceptance, however, is neutralizing former evangelical resistance to all things Catholic. An example of this is the 2005 Calvary Chapel pastors conference when Pastor Jon Courson presented communion in a Eucharistic-style, suggesting that communion is more than a remembrance. One pastor who was there, told us that about 80 of the pastors got up and walked out when this happened. The pastor said some of these stood on the sidewalk outside, pointing at the building and crying out, "Heresy."

Examples of implementing the Eucharist within evangelicalism are increasing daily. As explained in Roger Oakland's article, THE EMERGENCE OF THE EUCHARIST IN THE EMERGING CHURCH, Episcopal churches are incorporating the Eucharist service with the music of rock band U2 calling them U2-charist services. Oakland explains:

I find this example of Vintage Christianity very interesting in light of what is called the New Evangelization Program. This is the program initiated by the Roman Catholic Church to win the world to the Eucharistic Christ.... [T]he Emerging Church vintage worship campaign is now sending out "evangelists" who are introducing post-moderns that are hungry for experience to the Eucharistic experience.
In Roger Oakland's article "The Emerging Church: Revival or Return to Darkness," Oakland has shown the connection between the Eucharist and other forms of worship. Robert Webber, of Ancient-Future Worship, is becoming a popular author in Christian colleges and seminaries, yet Webber believes that the rediscovery of the Eucharist is vital today. Oakland states: [W]hen I hear about "rediscovering the central nature of the table of the Lord in the Lord's supper, breaking of bread, communion and Eucharist" I am reminded about the "new evangelization" program that is presently underway. Did you know Pope John Paul II called for a "missionary vision" centered on "a rekindling of amazement focused on the Eucharist" to bring the world to the Eucharistic Jesus?

United Methodist, Keith Howard McIlwain, believes that incorporating the Eucharist is essential to what he refers to as the renewal of the church:

[T]he faithful administration of the Eucharist is a certain key to renewal in the Church.... If The United Methodist Church and its smaller partners are to experience renewal, we must also allow the Holy Spirit proper place in worship, ministry, and pastoral care. Done with theological integrity, this must be done by re-examining the Eucharist ...Then, and only then, will we be able to once again effectively lead the way to transformation for the sake of Jesus Christ.

Today, mysticism is taking the world by storm. The Eucharist will help to make this happen by providing a vehicle through which the contemplative can ride. Let us not be caught unaware but heed the words of the apostle Paul when he said:
For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (Hebrews 5:12-14)

*Note: When we first posted this article, we said that Chuck Smith Jr wrote the foreword to Jon Courson's book, Application Commentary. We have since removed this statement because we learned that Chuck Smith Sr wrote the foreword. Many of the bookstore databases, such as this one, list Smith Jr. as the author of the foreword. This is incorrect, and we have contacted the publisher of the book (Thomas Nelson).

An Apology To The Nations

America is a land that is walking in her own spiritual light, and our darkness is gross. The spiritual heresies and corruption that festers in our land are erupting like boils spreading disease all across the world. While there is a faithful remnant, much of our Christianity is sick and we are willing carriers of this self inflicted plague. Our festering wounds seem incurable.

As a heartsick American believer, I am writing to apologize to the nations for the false gospel of greed we have poisoned you with. Please, weigh what you hear from American Christian media in the light of the Bible. In that light, we are found weighed, and wanting.

Our pricy prophets deliver pleasing words and playful images from their own imaginations. A global prophetic alert recently went out with images of dancers doing the Cancan because, so said the prophet, "God says you Can-Can!" Huh? All things prophetic have been turned into a profitable cash business. They promise money, money, money; prosperity abounding!, but ignore the required self-denial of the Cross. God says, in Jeremiah 23:29, "Is not my word like fire?" declares the LORD, "and like a hammer which shatters a rock?" Does a word that tickles the ear also shatter rock? Can these soothing words really be the words of God?

We are exporting wholesale spiritual manifestations like the primitive Mormons used to experience: visions of pillars of light, orbs of light, strange spiritual manifestations and experiences not rooted or found in the Bible, and many beguiled saints are drifting away from the sure word of Scripture as did the apostate Joseph Smith. Now we have Holy Ghost feathers and glittering gold and jewels appearing from the ether.

Revelation 17: 1-2, "Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits on many waters. With her the kings of the earth committed adultery and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries."

Notice how this spiritual whore is dressed, verse 3, "There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls."

The Great Whore of Revelation 17 is clad in colors other than white and is glittering with what? Gold, precious stones and pearls. Wow. Amazing that these are the exact same manifestations happening in charismatic circles round the globe.

Worse, those who profiteer from this spiritual prostitution and pollution are daring to call the wheat, tares, and the tares, wheat! Is good now evil? Is up now down? What have we done?

Our apostate apostles, merchandisers of the anointing, stand in gold-threaded Armani suits instead of the prayer wrought armor of God enticing you with promises of blessing if you'll send in your money. Aren't we simply to "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness" and then these things, and they are only mere things, will be added to us? Since when are the marks of an apostle wealth, fame, and power? Are not the marks of a true apostle on his back from the blows and stripes of suffering for the cause of Christ?

The original 12 apostles were ambassadors in chains, prisoners of Christ. Our glitzy "super-apostles" have more in common with the miracle working magicians of Pharaohs court than Moses. All but one of the original apostles was martyred for his testimony of Jesus! When heads start rolling in America, will these self professing men of God stand or will they run for their private jets to escape the persecution? There will be no room on their jets for those who made them rich. By their fruit, you will know them.

We have a charismatic witch, who, like her spiritual mother at Endor, on a recent Christian TV talk show expounded about a visitation from the spirit of her dead father while neutered men of God, hungry for camera face time, fawned over her "beautiful" experience. Isaiah 8:19, "When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?" Necromancy, contacting the dead, is an ABOMINATION to God. This is voodoo, not the faith once delivered unto the saints. Forgive us for not rebuking the witch and for supporting her with our money. She has a familiar spirit and is lying to you; deceiving and being deceived!

Our popular prophets have promoted satan's greatest lie, his cherished heart's desire, godhood. "Ye are gods," quote the prophets of Babylon not quoting the whole counsel of God in Psalms 82:6 "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High". Verse 7 continues, "But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes". It was a stinging rebuke to the presumption and arrogance of man, not an invitation to godhood!

Did we learn nothing from the fall in Eden? Isaiah 43: 10, "Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me." God says there will be no gods after him. Dogs have puppies, Cats have kittens, but God does not have little gods! Forgive us this heresy!

We've taught you the poison of religion. Remember the second greatest commandment, "Love one another?" Our self-loving inner Pharisee has taught us to ignore this command. To bypass God's call to love, we simply label those whom we disagree with as "religious." If they are just "religious" then we are somehow excused from loving them. If you don't like someone personally in the American church, just label them "religious" and move on. Is this not having a form of godliness but no power? And we have taught this clanging hypocrisy to the nations!

Instead of showing you agape love lived out in community, we have gutted the very fruit of discipleship. John 13:35, "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." Ahh, but love is costly and inconvenient and cannot be lived during a 20 minute sermonette so we now we say, "You just need to have faith." Yes, faith works through love. True faith will work towards love's end.

Does not God say that if you see your brother or sister in need and you say, as in James 2: 16, "'Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,' and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?" While we demand you have "faith" God demands that we lay down our lives and love in the most practical of ways. What use is "the God kind of faith" if you eat well while your sister is starving? Don't tell her to "have faith", give her some of your food. We have taught you to sin!

Brothers and sisters of the global church, the American church is fast becoming apostate. I live here and see it day after day. There is a praying remnant here who fear God, who have renounced charismatic witchcraft and prophetic profiteering, the sad hallmarks of the American church. Many of us have rediscovered the fear of God, the Bible, prayer, and holy living. There are many here who have not soiled their garment or bowed the knee to Baal but all you get to see is the 'Greed for God' hucksterism being exported to the nations in the name of discipleship.
Forgive us. Pray for us. Do not seek to be like us. The American prophetic movement and prosperity gospel is a two headed wolf that will beguile you from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ! Look in horror at the carnality, unsound doctrines, and wreckage of the American church. This wolf maims and devours all in its path.

In my spirit, I saw the foreshadowing of a tombstone slowly rising across our land inscribed with Isaiah 50: 10-11.
10 Who among you fears the LORD and obeys the word of his servant? Let him who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the LORD and rely on his God. 11 But now, all you who light fires and provide yourselves with flaming torches, go, walk in the light of your fires and of the torches you have set ablaze. This is what you shall receive from my hand: You will lie down in torment.

Come out from us and touch not the unclean thing. Don't let our liars and merchandisers exploit you. Their prosperity promises don't work here and they won't work for you, either. Seek the Lord, and live.

"But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!" Galatians 1:8

With profound apology,

Dyersburg grandmother witnesses to man trying to rob her

92-year-old Pauline Jacobi reads her Bible everyday. Her strong faith keeps her going in life and may have saved it after she almost became the victim of a parking lot robbery.
Jacobi had just finished putting her groceries inside her car at a Dyersburg Wal-Mart when a man jumped into the car through the passenger's side door. He told Jacobi he had a gun and that he would shoot her if she didn't give him money.
"I'm not going to give you my money," Jacobi said.
In fact. She told him "no" three times.
Then she started to talk to him. "As quick as you kill me I'll go to heaven and you'll go to hell," Jacobi said she told the man. "'Jesus is in this car and he goes with me everywhere I go."
"He just looked around and the tears just began coming down his eyes."
She told him to ask God for forgiveness and ministered to him for 10 minutes inside her car.
"He says, 'I think I'll go home and pray tonight,'" Jacobi said. "I says, 'You don't have to wait until tonight. You can pray anytime you want to.'" As tears were rolling down the man's face, Jacobi voluntarily gave him $10. All the money she had.
"When I told him I was going to give him the money, I said, 'Don't you go spend it on whiskey either,'" Jacobi said. The man thanked her for the money and kissed her on the cheek. Then he walked away.
He told Jacobi his name was Ricky and he was from Halls, Tennessee. She doesn't want to see him in jail, but also doesn't want him to hurt anybody.

Alpha Course (Conclusion)

Let’s take stock. An Alpha graduate may well develop a ‘spiritual’ worldview; may behave a lot more morally than before; may receive a healing; may say they ‘love Jesus’; may want to join a Fellowship and read the Bible, yet all these types of change occur among New Agers too. They don’t mean the person is saved. One could spend months searching official Alpha testimonies in vain for any of the hallmarks of true conversion – such as deep humility, or a serious reverence for the Almighty, or a heartfelt desire to be forgiven by the souls against whom they have trespassed, or a mighty gratitude for Calvary, or a profound shame for the sins of their old life, or a proper grasp of their sinful nature. The chances of finding multiple such hallmarks are virtually zero.

The next time the reader comes across an impressive-sounding Alpha testimony, we urge them to ask (a) if any of the above biblical hallmarks are clearly present, and (b) if Satan is genuinely powerless to produce the changes described, especially given that New Agers experience the very same sorts of healings, transformations, restorations and so on. As we noted at the start of the Introduction section, Alpha Course literature refers to “The God Who Changes Lives”, as if only one supernatural entity has that ability. Let’s not imagine the “god of this world” to be incapable of changing lives too. It is the God who saves souls we need to be following.

There is so much more we could say to prove our assertion, but it is all in our book.[47] Please pray about warning elders before they accept Alpha.[48] They will listen much more readily if they have not yet taken the program onboard. Why is this? Partly because they will lose a lot less ‘face’ if they reject Alpha before encouraging their Fellowships down the very involved road of running a Course, but also because we constantly find that the powerful spirit behind Alpha blinds people to the truth once they have received it.

People who have already imbibed this spirit need to renounce it and repent of accepting it. For more information, see this endnote.[49] We firmly believe the Lord enabled us to produce this article. May He deliver many souls through its prayerful and discreet use.[50]

God bless you.

Christian Leaders Betray Christ for World Peace

Christian leaders across denominational lines responded to the unprecedented open letter signed last month by 138 representative Muslim leaders with their own letter, calling on the two Abrahamic faiths to love God and neighbors together. Over 100 theologians, ministry leaders, and prominent pastors have thus far signed the response letter issued by the Yale Center for Faith and Culture. Signers include Jim Wallis, president of Sojourners; Rick Warren, founder and senior pastor of Saddleback Church; John Stott, rector emeritus of All Souls Church in London; and Leith Anderson, president of the National Association of Evangelicals.

The Christian signatories said they “share the sentiments” of the Muslim leaders who pointed out that Muslims and Christians make up over half of the world’ population and therefore true peace cannot occur as long as conflict persists between the two religious communities. “Peaceful relations between Muslims and Christians stand as one of the central challenges of this century, and perhaps of the whole present epoch,” wrote the Christian leaders. “If we can achieve religious peace between these two religious communities, peace in the world will clearly be easier to attain.”

In October, 138 Muslim clerics, scholars and intellectuals from all the major sects signed a letter calling for peace between Muslims and Christians. The letter entitled, “A Common World Between Us and You,” urged followers of the two faiths to find “common ground” and not simply just for “polite ecumenical dialogue” between certain religious leaders.

In the Christian response, Muslims have been asked to forgive Christians for their past sins – such as the Crusades and excesses of the “war on terrors” – as taught by Jesus Christ who said to “First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out your neighbor’s eye” (Matthew 7:5). Christian leaders urged for an interfaith dialogue that moves beyond “polite” ecumenical talks between selected leaders. Instead, leaders of both faiths should hold dialogues to build relations that will “reshape” the two communities to “genuinely reflect our common love for God and for one another,” the Christian letter stated. “Given the deep fissures in the relations between Christians and Muslims today, the task before us is daunting. And the stakes are great. The future of the world depends on our ability as Christians and Muslims to live together in peace,” the letter added. “If we fail to make every effort to make peace and come together in harmony you correctly remind us that ‘our eternal souls’ are at stake as well.”

The letter’s main emphasis is the “absolutely central” commonality between both religions: love of God and love of neighbor. Other signers of the letter include Miroslav Volf, founder and director of the Yale Center for Faith and Culture; Dr. Martin Accad, academic dean of the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary (Lebanon); Robert E. Cooley, president emeritus of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary; Harvey Cox, Hollis professor of Divinity at Harvard Divinity School; and Bill Hybels, founder and senior pastor of Willow Creek Community Church.

Godly Sorrow Brings Repentance

2 Cor. 7:10 " Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and
leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death."

This verse hit home with me this morning when a report came across Fox News
about a grieving family who lost their 15-year old son in a terrible auto
accident. The mother of the boy asked God for a sign that her son was in
heaven. She went on the internet and found the song "No Tears In Heaven."
She downloaded the words to the song and it gave her comfort, and she saw that as a "sign" from God that her son was in heaven.

She contacted the writer of the song and asked his permission to write the words on her son's gravestone. The writer granted her that permission. Also the writer is sending copies of the song on CD to the solderiers fighting the war in the Middle East. The writer also gave permission for the members of Gold Star families to use the lyrics in their memorial services.

These lost people do not realize that the death of their loved one, as painful and tragic as it can be, is not the tradegy. The real tradegy is that unless they repent there is no hope for them and they will spend eternity in Hell.

The World has nothing to offer but death. But the gift of God is Eternal Life in Jesus Christ!

"Oprah and Friends" To Teach Course on New Age Christ

"Oprah and Friends" To Teach Course on New Age Christ
By Warren Smith

Oprah Winfrey will be letting out all the stops on her XM Satellite Radio program this coming year. Beginning January 1, 2008, "Oprah & Friends" will offer a year-long course on the New Age teachings of A Course in Miracles.1 A lesson a day throughout the year will completely cover the 365 lessons from the Course in Miracles "Workbook." For example, Lesson #29 asks you to go through your day affirming that "God is in everything I see."2 Lesson #61 tells each person to repeat the affirmation "I am the light of the world."3 Lesson #70 teaches the student to say and believe "My salvation comes from me."4

By the end of the year, "Oprah & Friends" listeners will have completed all of the lessons laid out in the Course in Miracles Workbook. Those who finish the Course will have a wholly redefined spiritual mindset-a New Age worldview that includes the belief that there is no sin, no evil, no devil, and that God is "in" everyone and everything. A Course in Miracles teaches its students to rethink everything they believe about God and life. The Course Workbook bluntly states: "This is a course in mind training"5 and is dedicated to "thought reversal."6
